Kathryn Owen Yocum, 85, South Main Street, widow of Frank J. Yocum, Sr., died Saturday, August 04, 2007 at the St. Joseph Hospital. She was born January 18, 1922 in Louisville, daughter of the late Benjamin and Kathryn Malone Owen, a graduate of Henry Clay High School, and attended the University of Kentucky. Mrs. Yocum is survived by three sons, Frank J. (Joan) Yocum, Nicholasville, Gene H. (Janet) Yocum, Rockville, MD, Owen S. (Theresa) Yocum, Lexington; three grandchildren, James J. (Susan) Yocum, Raleigh, NC, Gene Thomas Yocum, NY, Andrew Clay Yocum, Rockville, MD; and a great granddaughter, Neve Marie Yocum, Raleigh, NC. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Sylvester Sanders with interment in the Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be James J. Yocum, Gene Thomas Yocum, Andrew Clay Yocum, Jimmy Insko, Doug Campbell, and Marion McCarty. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
