Jesse Harris Thorp, 81, a retired certified nursing assistant at Eastern State Hospital, husband of Norma Harris Thorp, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born June 29, 1934 in Bourbon County, son of the late Charles Douglas and Anna Lucille Stevenson Tharp. In addition to his wife, Jesse is survived by a special daughter, Tina Riddle; special niece, Barbara Justice; brother, William (Kathy) Thorpe; two nephews, Todd (Jennifer) Justice, Tracy (Karen) Thorpe; and a niece, Esther (Terry) McDaniel. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Hess, Eunice Justice, Bonnie Juanita Thorp; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Thorpe; and a nephew, Walter Hess. Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
