Patsy Ellen Hill Nichols, 81, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born August 14, 1934 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Joseph Reynolds and Sue Margaret Taylor Hill. Patsy was a 1952 graduate of Paris High School and was a member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Debra D. Nichols, Bourbon County, Karen L. (Christopher) Schapley, Scott County; a son, Tony (Kay) Denniston, Bourbon County, eight grandchildren, Stephanie Denniston, Tonya (Adrian) Gitch, Candice (Nathan) Rexroat, Brian Nichols, David Nichols, Amanda Nichols, John Schapley, Samantha Schapley; a brother, Henry Edgar Hill; and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. John McGuire with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Tony Denniston, Stephanie Denniston, Tonya Gitch, David Nichols, John Schapley, Samantha Schapley, and Candice Rexroat. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
