Edward H. Gorey, 73, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Kindred Hospital Louisville. He was born December 23, 1941 in Paris, son of the late James Lawrence and Margaret O'Hearn Gorey. He was a graduate of Paris High School and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation and the Holy Name Society. Ed is survived by a brother, Robert Gannon (Susan) Gorey, Cincinnati, OH; three sisters, Helen (William) Lyons, Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Alice Taylor, Lexington, Ann (Stephen) Northam, Jeffersonville, IN; a sister-in-law, Mary Adele (Edmond) Boyle, Paris; a special friend, Joe Shriver; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James L. Gorey Jr. and Owen Edward Gorey. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation by Rev. Daniel Fister with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church with Rosary at 10:45 a.m.
