Obituary for Lois Caywood (Myers)
Lois Myers Caywood, widow of Emery W. “June” Caywood, Jr., passed away peacefully in Lexington at the Hospice Care Center, on October 2, 2019, after an extended illness, having attained the age of 93 years. She was born on January 15, 1926, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Guy S. and Bessie Bromagem Myers, a graduate of Carlisle High School, a retired WIC Coordinator for the Bourbon County Health Department and a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Henry A. Myers.
Surviving is a son, Wayne (Sidney) Caywood, III, and a grandson, Emery Caywood, IV. Also surviving are her four sisters, Mildred McIntyre, June (R.L.) Duncan, Janice Boyle, Carol Hatton; and a brother, Wayne (Carolyn) Myers.
The funeral service for Lois Myers Caywood will be on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Ronk officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service with a private interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Spears Mill Baptist Church or one’s favorite charity.
