Charles William Humphries, husband of Kimberly Strickland Humphries, passed on from this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Hospital, after an extended illness, at the age of 58. Charles was born on November 14, 1960, in Paris, Kentucky. The son of the late Clifton and Mabel Fudold Humphries. He was a graduate of Paris High School, became an E.M.T. in 1979, a Paramedic in 1982, and worked as a firefighter and paramedic for the City of Paris Fire Department. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Savannah Christine Humphries and a brother, John Steven Humphries.
Along with his wife, Kimberly, he is survived by his children, Jon Lucas Humphries (Brittany Ann), Jana Lynne Hayes (Colby), Julie LaDon Feazell (Logan), Charles Everett Humphries, Jonah Hart Humphries, Molly Alexandria Humphries, Paul Alexander Martin, II (Katara), and Lauren Elizabeth Martin; two grandchildren, Audrey Kate Humphries and Evelynn Christine Humphries. Also surviving are his sisters, Helen Klapheke (Phil), and Teresa Christopher (Steve), mother-in-law, Carolyn Eshelman, father-in-law, Pastor John Strickland and sister-in-law, Sherri Strickland, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service for Charles William Humphries will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Pastor John Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with casket bearers being the City of Paris Fire Department Honor Guard, Jon Lucas Humphries, Jonah Hart Humphries, Charles Everett Humphries, Bruce Jones, James Fomas, DeeGee Ison Roe, Paul Alexander Martin, II and J. Steve Christopher.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 16, 2019 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
