Obituary for Louise Earlywine (Hamilton)

Clemie Louise Hamilton Earlywine, 88, departed this life on December 25, 2018. She was born October 9, 1930 to Herbert and Ottie Waugh Hamilton. She was strong in her faith and loved her family. She was an avid reader and loved connecting with people on Facebook. She loved needlework. People loved her for her sense of humor and motivation to stay as healthy as she could. She taught Sunday School at Carlisle United Methodist Church for several years. She loved sewing clothes for her daughter and her grandchildren. She loved growing flowers and maintaining her house. She was a good neighbor and a good friend and will be truly missed in this life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Allen Leroy, a daughter, Linda Louise, two sisters - Helen Doyle and Alma Davis, and special friend, Guy Holden.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Kay Shepherd (Terry Turner), Longmont Colorado. A granddaughter, Deanna Shepherd (Nick VanHanken), Colorado, grandson, Shane Shepherd (Vanessa Lane-Miller), Cordova, Alaska and Longmont Colorado, nieces Janice Long, Barbara Lester (Ed), Debra Davis, Jeff Earlywine (Lisa), several great nieces and nephews, cousin Harry Douglas, Minnesota and former son-in-law Roger Shepherd, Colorado.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Carlisle Cemetery. Pall bearers are Terry Turner, Jeff Fite, Jeff Earlywine, Allen Flora, Corey Earlywine and Clinton Townsend. Honorary pall bearers are David Earlywine, Ed Lester, and Frank Rinesmith. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in her honor. Some of her favorites were St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Cancer Society and the Longmont Humane Society.
