Barbara Jean Myers Roe, age 77 of Lexington, departed this life on Monday, October 22, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness.
Barbara was born on May 25, 1941 in Paris, Kentucky the daughter of the late Estill and Helen Perkins Myers. She was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and was retired from IBM/Lexmark. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Angela Renee Elam Roe.
She is survived by two sons, James David Roe and Scott T. Roe and his wife Amy, 4 grandchildren, Megan Roe, Holli Roe, Alex Maynard and Ashley Howard as well as her brother, James D. Myers and wife Joetta and a sister Wanda Carol Wilburn and husband Waldo. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Barbara Jean Myers Roe will be on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Hinton Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Waldo Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Sam Roe, Paul Back, Todd Elam, Alex Maynard, Kenney Johnson and David Allen.
