Dorothy Mae Spivey, age 86 of Paris, died at her home on October 21, 2018. Dorothy was born in Bourbon County, KY on June 28, 1932 the daughter of the late Omer and Josie Roe Anderson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased in death by her husband, Vernon Spivey, Jr. , a son, Thomas A. Spivey as well as two granddaughters, Michelle Williams and Kaleah Williams and grandson Mathew Tyler Spivey. As a child she attended North Middletown School and was a homemaker and was a member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. She is survived by son, James Michael Spivey of Richmond and grandchildren, Angela Kay Williams and husband Corey, Eric Spivey , James Vernon Spivey, Tara Martinson, Ebony Williams, Trevor Rice, Elexis Williams and great grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Spivey, Preston Vernon Spivey, Olivia Marie Mendez, Cooper Spivey, Hudson Spivey , Kali Dawn Nichols and Kingston Allen Williams. Funeral Service for Dorothy Mae Spivey will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Don Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with casket bearers being Chris Sowder, Kevin Anderson, Tracy Thorpe, Billy Walters, Mike Vance and Anthony Spivey.
The family request visitation on October 23, 2018 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home after 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are suggested to be to Bluegrass Hospice Care in lieu of flowers.
