Betty Ann Sharp, 85, widow of Llewellyn Sharp IV, died Wednesday, May 9, 20118 at her home. She was born Sep 17, 1932 in Lexington, daughter of the late Emerson and Sally Clarke Thomason. Betty graduated from North Middletown High School, attended Greenbrier Junior College and the University of Kentucky, and was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Llewellyn (Toni) Sharp V, Paris, Rebecca (Phillip) Colmer, Chelsea, MI, Michael Thomason Sharp, Lexington, and Samara Anjelae (f.k.a. Sally Sharp). Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Philip D. Ronk with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Charlie Clay, Bill Bryan, Ben Rankin, Rodney Crump, Rick Claypool, and David Lyle. Honorary bearers will be Theresa Cloyd, Cecilia Sponcil, Melissa Crump, Minnie Sharp, Margaret King, and Jane and Paul Lyle. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
