Irene S. Napier, 85, a retired teacher for Paris Independent Schools, wife of Orville Napier, died Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington. She was born October 21, 1927 in Perry County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bill and Ruda Feltner Stacy. Mrs. Napier was a graduate of Cordia High School in Knott County and Eastern Kentucky University. She was a member of Spears Mill Baptist, Retired Teachers Association, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Mrs. Napier taught for fifteen years in the Perry County schools before moving to Paris. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Chester (Pat) Stacy, Hazard; special daughter, Teresa Price; special son, William T. Stacy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Brother Barry Proctor with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be William T. Stacy, Henry Myers, Rick Claypool, Adam Wade Stacy, Wayne Myers, Blaine Price, Gary Jackson, and Tyler Jackson. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Spears Mill Baptist Church, 868 Spears Mill Road, Paris, KY 40361.
