Ivil Clevenger Young, 86, a native of Paris, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 10 in Georgetown. Ivil spent her life loving to cook—for family and friends, for strangers, and for thousands of UK students who passed through the doors of K-Lair Grill where she worked until her retirement. God’s power to keep peace will surely be tested as Ivil reunites with her husband Rudie, her mother Bertha and her sister Marcella at the canasta table. She is survived by her children Dariel (Debbie) Green, London, KY; Pam Green (Landen Summay) of Cincinnati, OH; and Bryan (Beth) Young of Nicholasville; and grandchildren Jason (her loving caregiver), Matthew, BJ, Charles, Jeremiah, Collier and Lola. She was preceded in death by her son Steve. A memorial service is planned 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 16 at Hinton Turner, Paris.
