Pauline Kokendoffer Hutson, age 92, died Wednesday, September 05, 2018 at U of K Medical Center. She served her family as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for over 50 years. She was a deacon, a member-at-large of Little Rock Homemakers and June Stanley Circle.
Pauline was born on February 17, 1926 the daughter of the late Russell and Sallie Ralls Kokendoffer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Perry A. Hutson and two sisters, Irene Steele and Eva Manley.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn (Billy) Jordan of Bourbon County, Susan Martin (Wesley ) of Lexington and a son, Perry Eugene Hutson (Connie) of Bourbon County as well as 5 grandchildren, Alex Jordan (Dan Wood), Suzanne Sheeler (Tom), Laura Jordan, David Jordan, Brad Martin and 4 great grandchildren, Shelby Soard, Colin Soard, Kaleb Sheeler and Kameron Sheeler . There are two sisters that survive, Lucille Ault and Mary Ellen Young (Johnny) of Nicholasville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Pauline Kokendoffer Hutson will be on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Paris at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with casket bearers being Alex Jordan, Brad Martin, Steven Young, Tom Sheeler, Paul Davis, Arthur Hopkins, Clifford McFarland and Brandon Young. Honorary bearers are the grandchildren, great grandchildren, Mary Ellen and Johnny Young, Evelyn Kiser, Jean Soper, Maxine Pulliam, Elizabeth Haley, Linda Hutson, Donna Cenicola, Carole Sallee, Unit 2 Staff at Bourbon Heights and Dr. Murray West.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Paris.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pauline are suggested to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Paris, Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
