Shawn Lee Beaton, 32, son of James Lee Beaton and the late Allee Ann “Missy” Earlywine, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born June 15, 1985 in Lexington and was a 2001 graduate of Paris High School. Shawn is survived by his father, James Beaton (Cassie Scott); two sons, Ethan Beaton, Alex Beaton; paternal grandmother, Virginia Gaunce; a sister, Megan Smith; three brothers, Zach Beaton, Dalton Beaton, Chris Roberts; nephew, Conner Biddle; an aunt, Regina Hutchison; three uncles, Jon Beaton, Charles Beaton, Eddie Earlywine; a special friend, Tyler Williams; and cousins, Clay, Stephanie, and Tyler Hutchison. In addition to his mother, Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nolie Gaunce; and maternal grandmother, Martha Toy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
