Janet  Crombie (Hyatt)
Janet Hyatt Crombie, 73, of Paris, a piano teacher with Town and Village Dance School for over 40 years, wife of Hugh Crombie, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born May 9, 1944 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Cameron Hyatt. Janet was a 1962 graduate of Bourbon County High School, a member of Ruddles Mills Christian Church, played the piano at Bourbon Heights for several years, loved playing bridge with all the bridge ladies, and enjoyed several cruises with her cruising buddies, J.P. and Patti Shipp, Bill and Mary Reynolds, and Stacey, Alex, and Patti Shipp. One of her favorite things to do was to go to the Country Club on Friday nights for dinner and she loved all of her friends there. In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by a brother, Jerry (Sandy) Hyatt, Versailles, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Joy Hyatt, Lexington, Kentucky ; two nephews Danny (Carol) Hyatt, Marshall Jerry Duncan; two nieces, Debbie Willett, Teresa (Vaughn) Gott; five great nephews, Daniel Hyatt, Ben Hyatt, Trevor Gott, Adam Willett, Chad Willett; five great nieces, Kendall Hyatt, Morgan Gott, Madison Gott, Tatum Gott, Ashley Willett (Tom) Coughlin; two god children, Brian Boyle, Laura Boyle; and extended family, Pat Bell, Linda Yost, Edmond and Maryadell Boyle. Two brothers, Wayne Hyatt and Roland Hyatt, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) by Rev. Jeff Bell with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jerry Hyatt, Edmond Boyle, Paul Osborne, Danny Hyatt, J.P. Shipp, Donnie Fuller, and Brian Boyle. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or Bluegrass Hospice Care.
