Marilee Galbraith Wardle, 79, retired Claiborne Farm secretary, died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Willows at Hamburg. She was born January 21, 1938 in Ruddles Mill, daughter of Mary Ida Owsley Linville and the late Wade H. Linville. Marilee was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and was a member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ida Linville; daughter, Kelly (Philip) Galbraith Geoghegan; a son, Gare (Alex) Galbraith; two grandchildren, McKenna and Patrick Geoghegan; and a brother, Edward (Jane) Linville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, W.H. Linville Jr. and James Garrett Linville. With the exception of a few years, Marilee lived her life in Paris, Kentucky. She was known for her sense of style, energetic church work, sense of responsibility, and devotion to family and friends. Not one for self-pity, she was very optimistic, always looking forward to better times. She loved people and never met a stranger. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris, Kentucky with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Patrick Geoghegan, Philip Geoghegan, James Linville, Jerry Galbraith, William Hiram “Trey” Linville III, and Ales Ix. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
