Obituary for Hazel Beatty (Hartman)

Mrs. Hazel Beatty passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Facility in Paris, Kentucky. Mrs. Beatty was born May 9, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Blanche Jones Hartman. She was a longtime resident of Bourbon County.
She was preceded in death her sister, Geneva Hartman; her husband William “Kelly” Beatty; a son, William Kelly “Bill” Beatty; a daughter, Carol Roe; and two grandson, Christopher Roe and William Lewis Roe.
She is survived her sister, Beulah (Jim) Greene; her brother, Rufus (Lori) Hartman Jr; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Beatty; four grandchildren, David (Tammy) Roe, Neal Beatty, Adam (Ashley) Beatty, Kelly Beatty; nieces and nephew, Earlene (Mick) Gibbons, Jenny (Tim) Costello, Patrick (Ruth) Hartman, Rufus Hartman III; eleven grandchildren; and five great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Beatty was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a longtime employee of Bourbon Laundry. She was passionate about her family and friends and was elated to be around her children. She loved being able to care for those in need and was always there to offer a helping hand.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. by Dr. Henry Hanna. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Adam Beatty, Neal Beatty, Patrick Hartman, Cody Roe, Rick Mattox, and Frank McMullen. Honorary bearers will be Dr. C. Ray Young and the staff at Bourbon Heights Nursing Facility.
