Obituary for Thomas Lane Minnick

Thomas Lane Minnick of Paris, KY, died Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born in Lexington, KY, on October 2, 2000. He is survived by his father Dusty (Christie) Minnick of Paris, mother Chastity English of Paris, brother Chandler English of Paris, step-brother Kaven Brown and step-sister Clara Dohn of Paris, paternal grandmother Connie Fitzgerald of Paris, paternal grandfather David Minnick of Lexington, maternal grandmother Barbara Goins of Paris, great grandmother Judy Fitzgerald of Paris, great aunt Vicki (Jim) Fitzgerald Preacher of Florida, and great uncle Steve (Laura) Minnick of Paris and his godfather Mark Richardson of Indiana.
Thomas Lane Minnick, 16 years old, just finished his sophomore year of high school and had a summer to remember planned. He was a member of the Bourbon County High School Marching Band. This year he was head of the drumline and played lead snare and led his band onto the field to win the State Championship. He also won a State Championship in 2013. Drumming was his passion and he had an amazing talent. He was a member of the Church of Annunciation in Paris, KY.
Thomas Lane lost his life in a tragic boating accident. He was loved tremendously and will be missed by many. He will forever remain in our hearts and prayers.
The visitation is set for this Wednesday, May 31, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home located on Pleasant Street in Paris, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday June 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation in Paris, KY with burial in the Paris Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Major Douglas, Mark Simpson, Jacob Zonker, Nate Ashcraft, Seth Cordray, Chase Donavan, Les Kennedy, Daniel Prewitt, and Jackson Rankin.
Honorary bearers will be Joe Shriver, Mark Richardson, Darrell Rankin, Jamie Hiles, John Wall, and Dwight Dunlap.
