Obituary for Sallie Clay Lovell (Cravens)

Sallie Clay Cravens Lovell, 90, retired owner of Milton B. Lovell Plumbing and Heating, widow of Milton B. Lovell, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Willows at Citation. She was born February 24, 1927 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Walter Clay and Sarah Ethel Hadley Cravens. Mrs. Lovell was a graduate of Clintonville High School, member of Lynnwood Homemakers Club, former Treasurer of Paris High School Band Boosters, and was a member and Elder Emeritus of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she was active in the June Stanley Circle. She is survived by three sons, Burl (Lydia) Lovell, Jim (Mary) Lovell, Mike (Kathy) Lovell; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Carrie) Lovell, Josh (Holly) Lovell, Meredith (Andrew) Mazzuca, Becca (James) Henderson, Sallie F. Lovell, Brandon (Claire) Lovell; Amanda Lovell; and seven great grandchildren, Mallory Lovell, Max Lovell, Hadley Lovell, Case Lovell, Alex Mazzuca, Charlie Mazzuca, and Maggie Henderson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, at First Christian Church by Rev. Jeff Bell with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jonathan Lovell, Brandon Lovell, Josh Lovell, Sallie F. Lovell, Becca Henderson, Meredith Mazzuca, and Amanda Lovell. The Elders, Elders Emeritus, Deacons, and former Deacons of First Christian Church will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.
