Alma Lee Kearns, 97, former employee of Hansley Mill and Grede Perm Casting, widow of Joseph Howard Kearns, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Johnson Mathers Health Care in Carlisle. She was born November 10, 1919 in Harrison County, daughter of the late Homer A. and Minnie Stivers Rankin. Mrs. Kearns was a graduate of Harrison County schools and was a member of Bourbon County Homemakers and Ruddles Mill Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Mike (Brenda) Kearns, Mitchell (Lily) Kearns; eight grandchildren, Stephen Kearns, Kevin Kearns, Kelly Kearns Biddle, Michael Duane Kearns, Rayne Kearns Earlywine, Deana Lawson Berry, Eric Scott, Christie Kearns Moran; 25 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Jackie Kearns, Jodie Lawson, and Susie Scott. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Casket bearers will be Michael Kearns, Stephen Kearns, Mike Kearns, Mitchell Kearns, Scott Thornton, and Casey Terry. Honorary bearers will be Eric Scott, Kevin Kearns, Helen Rankin, Phyllis Hill, Mike Williams, Kathy Hilander, Joe Yazell, Donna Yazell, Jo Lynn Burkhart, Ernest Hopkins, and Ruth Phillips. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
