Thomas Clay  Sledd
Thomas Clay Sledd, 76, of Brandon, Florida, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home. He was born February 13, 1941 in Lexington, son of the late Frank Wilkerson and Elizabeth Ann Clay Sledd. Tom was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Union Institute and University in Cincinnati. After receiving his degree, Tom had 35 years of service throughout Florida and the southeast as an addictions professional and ordained pastoral counselor. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Sledd; two sons, Thomas Hart Sledd, Kenney Clay Sledd; and two grandchildren, Spencer and Emily Sledd. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Hart, and Roger Sledd. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Dr. Morgan Gilkey. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday.
