Condolences

Condolence From: Melanie McCarty Dearing
Condolence: Bertie cared for me as a baby in the nursery at Central Baptist Church in Paris. She was always hugs, kisses, and saltine crackers. She called my sister and myself, "her girls." Even after we were in high school we would make a stop to the nursery to say hello and get our hug and "sugars" from Bertie. I saw her a year or so again at a local baseketball while visiting family in KY. She took one look at my girls and smiled and made her joyful squeal. She hugged on them just like she did me when I was a little girl. Bertie is a reminder of the impact a person can have on the life of a child.

Condolence: Sympathy and comfort to the family during this time of loss. Your mother was always a very kind person and didn't mind asking how you were doing, then took the time to listen to you talk about what you were doing. Makes me smile when I think about her, always.

Condolence: Having a really hard time wrapping my arms around the fact that you have passed! My dear friend, I will miss you terribly!A piece of my heart went with you and will remain so. You were one in a million and your smile and laughter lit up the room! Rest easy Miss Bertie as you were getting so tired and I could see it in your eyes! They still were sparkly but some of the glitter was not quite the same! I love you dear lady, from the first day I met you and I probably will still try to call you and say "Bertie, I am in town, can I bring you something to eat?" You would say"bring me what you are having." We ate and laughed and shared! I still will have lunch with you, as I plan on taking it to the cemetery and talking to you there! As angels go quietly into the night.......I love you Bertie!!!!
