Alice Marie Rankin Johnson, 103, widow of Roy Johnson, died Monday, October 03, 2016 at Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown. She was born November 17, 1912 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late William H. and Iva Carter Rankin. Mrs. Johnson was a 1935 graduate of Clintonville High School, a former member of Bourbon County Homemakers, and was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Iva (Gayle) Garrison, Scott County; eight grandchildren, Randy (Stephanie) Garrison, Melissa Yates, Joey Garrison, Eddie (Kim) Johnson, Fred (Heather) Johnson, Kathy Johnson, Sandy Sumpter, Debbie Johnson; seventeen great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Ray Johnson, James Henry Johnson; three sisters, Rena Tolson, Billye Cooper, Claudia Elam; and two brothers, Harrison and Gene Rankin. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Philip Ronk with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Randy Garrison, Joey Garrison, Joey Wilson, Fred Johnson, Rob Massie, and Ronnie Johnson. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
