MaryAnn  Shriver (Bernard)
MaryAnn Bernard “Grams” Shriver, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016. She was born on December 23, 1933 in Cheviot, Ohio, daughter of the late Richard Anthony and Katherine Elizabeth Olbert Bernard. She went to Mother of Mercy High School in Westwood, Ohio, then to St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Covington, Kentucky. She worked as a R.N. in Ohio, Kentucky, and California. Survivors are her husband, Joe Shriver; nine daughters, JoAnn (Randy) Perkins, Graham, NC, MaryAnn (Mike) Withrow, Paris, Carol (Ron) Hutt, Borden, IN, Ruth (Patrick) Hartman, Millersburg, Libby (Louie) Emmons, Paris, Terri (Tim) Rankin, Paris, Donna Shriver, Paris, Helen (Adam) Falor, Stamping Ground, Katie Shriver, Paris; two sons, Willy Shriver, Fort Myers, FL, Joe (Rhonda) Shriver, Villa Hills, KY; sister-in-law, Billie Shriver Nunan, Oceanside, CA; twenty-five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was a retired registered nurse and later worked as a part time bookkeeper at Shriver’s Dry Cleaning. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation by Rev. Daniel Fister with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Urn bearers will be Joseph Perkins, Trey Rankin, Michael Withrow, and Trent Rankin. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, St. Vincent DePaul Fund c/o Catholic Church of the Annunciation, or Operation Food Basket c/o Mary Pochodzay.
