Edward Bruce  Bailey
Edward Bruce Bailey, 89, retired IBM employee, U.S. Army veteran of World War II, husband of Fay Roe Bailey, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Hospice Care Center. He was born July 29, 1926 in Nicholas County, son of the late Ambrose Forest and Ida Mae Ockerman Bailey. In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by three sons, Doug Bailey, Mike Bailey, Steve (Sophia) Bailey; three grandchildren, Sommer (Drew) Lallie, Tyler Bailey, Sarah Bailey; one great grandson, Owen Lallie; four brothers, Albert (Freeda) Bailey, Ernest Bailey, David (Delores) Bailey, Carl (Sherrill) Bailey; and a sister, Margaret (Billy) Jenkins. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Anthony Bailey; two sisters, Vivian Morrell, Mildred Hedger; and four brothers, Pete, Richard Thomas, Marsh “Cotton”, and Clyde Bailey. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
