Laura C. Christopher, 91, a retired 3M employee, widow of Cecil Christopher, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her home. She was born November 19, 1924 in Nicholas County, daughter of the late Silas and Eva Ritchie Jackson and was a member of Paris First United Methodist Church. Laura is survived by her daughter, Lillian (Donald) Smith; a grandson, Christopher (Donna) Smith; two great granddaughters, Jaclyn (Ronnie) Cameron, Samantha (Philip) Johnson; five great, great grandchildren, Jaxson, Naomi, Silas, Damien, Galaxy; and a special niece and caregiver, Melissa Darland. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Clay Leonard with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jaclyn Cameron, Ronnie Cameron, Samantha Johnson, Philip Johnson, Brandon Darland, and Robbie Jackson. Honorary bearers will be Andrew Willoughby, staff of DaVita Dialysis Clinic, and her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
