Obituary for Glenda Carol Cruise (Harney)
Glenda Carol Harney Cruise, 71, of Midway, widow of Dr. Sidney Elliott Cruise, died March 15, 2016 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born February 25, 1945 in Helena, Arkansas, daughter of the late Glenn Allen and Ann Rice Harney. Glenda was a 1963 graduate of Paris High School and attended Transylvania University and Morehead State University. She is survived by a brother, Charles Allen Harney, Paris; aunt, Ruth Harney, Paris; stepchildren, Ashley Havens, Chris (Jennifer) Havens; two step grandchildren, Elliott and Landry Havens; special friends, Dr. Jack and Linda Shepherd; several cousins; and her 1963 classmates. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, with burial in Midway Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jim Harney, Tom Harney, Stu Brown, Dr. Jack Shepherd, Jonathan Shepherd, and Jason Shepherd. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
