Dorothy Eve Finley (Beggs)
Dorothy Eve Finley, 91, born February 2, 1925 in Massac County, Illinois, daughter of the late Arthur and Clossie Clutts Beggs. She was a wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She was a humble person, quiet and reserved, but she had her moments.
She leaves behind her children, Mike, Robert, Vanita Archer; Terry’s wife, Debbie; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, John, Lana, Shirley, Alice, Julia; and her beloved dog, Cissy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; daughter, Cindy; son, Terry; and sister, Janetta.
She loved flowers and gardening and was the best cook ever! Later in life, Cindy became her caretaker. She then went to live at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home. The staff and patients loved her. She died at Bourbon Community Hospital, where she received the best care ever. They were with her when she passed peacefully.
We will remember her with great respect and love. She was a simple woman and the best wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. No service, just wish her God speed.
