Dorothy Louise  Wells
Dorothy M. Wells, 94, retired food service director for Paris Independent Schools, widow of Julian W. Wells, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. She was born October 3, 1921 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Dawes T. and Marguerite Woodall McCracken Sr. Dorothy was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she was active in the church circle and was a member of various bridge clubs. She is survived by a granddaughter, Kaye Dishman, Paris; two great granddaughters, Bree and Sara Dishman; and a son-in-law, Tom Eads. A daughter, Linda W. Eads, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell with visitation after 5:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will be Saturday, February 20, in the Paris Cemetery officiated by Rev. Sue McCracken. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association.
