Sue Jane Lykins Peters, 87, retired employee of Bourbon Agricultural Bank, widow of William E. Peters Sr., died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born October 20, 1928 in Maysville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Glenn Lykins and Nancy Chanslor Lykins. Sue Jane was a graduate of Paris High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Bryan (Lynn) Peters, Paris; daughter-in-law, Susan Peters, Paris; six grandchildren, Matthew Peters, Laura (J.R.) Stoy, Rhonda Peters, Carolyn Peters, Whitney Peters, Allyson Peters; a great granddaughter, Emily Grace Stoy; and a special neighbor, Keith Wagoner. A son, William E. Peters Jr., preceded her in death. Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Betsy Steiner with visitation after 5:00 p.m. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Paris Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
