Alene Stephens Isaac, 92, Bourbon County, died Friday, July 15, 2011. She was born December 7, 1918 in Rockcastle County, daughter of the late John T. and Berta Todd Stephens and was married to William R. Isaac for 67 years before his passing in 2001. She is survived by a son, Donal (Margaret) Isaac, Paris; three daughters, Shelby Hawkins, Great Falls, MT, Sue Clark, Harrison County, Kathryn (Butch) Sloan, Lexington; six grandchildren, Michael (Vicky) Cassity, Cascade, MT, Stephen (Kelly) Cassity, Eagan, MN, Rose (Lou) Cook, San Jose, CA, Tina (Charlie) Oliver, Bourbon County, Rachel (Lewis Boggess Jr.) Sloan, Lexington, Scott Sloan, Lexington; five great grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Ezra, Matthew, Emily; four great, great grandchildren, Brittany, Suria, Dylan, Aidan; a sister-in-law, Helen Stephens, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, D.J., one sister, and four brothers. The family expresses special appreciation to Bourbon Heights Unit 2 nurses and aides for the loving care given. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Bill Deutsch with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Stephen Cassity, Charlie Oliver, Lewis Boggess Jr., Scott Sloan, Gary Fryman, Bobby Overly, and Glenn Ray Florence. Honorary bearers will be Nelson Hutson, Joe Davis, Bill Harney, Gordon Slade, Jim Ellington, Barry Moreland, Doug Buchanan, and Woody Berry. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
