Myrtle Jones Vickers, 91, of Lexington and formerly of Paris, widow of Henry Thomas Vickers, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Joseph East Hospital. She was born November 4, 1919 in Paris, daughter of the late John Willie and Bettie Rainey Jones, a graduate of Paris High School, and was a member of the First Church of Christ in Independence, KY. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Goble) Proffitt, Lexington; a stepdaughter, Terry (Gary) Cain, Cynthiana; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Bro. Charles Carter with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Jeff Hinton, Dean Hinton, Jerry Ken Beverage, Jerry Clark, Bradley Pearce, and Steven Pearce. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday.
