Harry C. Otte Jr., 89, of Millersburg, Kentucky, husband of Frances "DeeDee" Otte, died on September 6, 2010 at his home in Paris, Kentucky with his loving family by his side. Harry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 31, 1921 to Harry C. Otte Sr. and Ida May Stewart Otte. Harry was a veteran of World War II, having served with General Douglas MacArthur Headquarters Company, 52nd Signal Battalion in Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, South Philippines, and Luzon. Harry worked for 30 years at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Lexington with a distinguished record. He also owned and ran Otte's TV business in Millersburg. He was a lifelong member and Elder of First Christian Church in Millersburg and served as Council-member for the city of Millersburg. Additional survivors include children, Harry Bruce (Judy) Otte, of Paris, KY, Rebecca Lynn (Bjorn) Holestol of Sandnes, Norway; stepson, Alan (Kathy) Lowe of Lewisville, Texas; stepdaughter, Debbie Lowe of Paris, KY; grandchildren Clifford Neill (Nova) Otte, Falls Church, VA, John Tyler (Samantha) Otte, Winchester, KY, Larisa Holestol, Norway; step-grandson, Perry French, Paris, step-granddaughter, Carolyn Lowe, Texas; and great grandchildren, include Alissa, Lexi, Morgan, and Nate Otte. He was preceded in death by spouse Leora Bruce Shaw Otte; and brothers Phillip and Stewart Otte. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dale Dragomier with burial in the Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Cliff Otte, John Otte, Gary Otte, Joe Hudson, Bjorn Holestol, Alan Lowe, Perry French, and Harry B. Otte.
