Betty Jean Nixon, 89, former manager of Ardery Drug Store, widow of Rolla James "June" Nixon Jr., died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana. She was born February 2, 1926 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Cal and Myrtle Case Hendricks. Betty was a graduate of Paris High School and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is survived by special friends, Paula Marcum, Sally Puckett, and Billy Mitchell. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Bell and Rev. Tracy Parker with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Billy Mitchell, Ed Marcum, Robert Puckett, Burl Lovell, James Lovell, Bill Burris, Michael Smith, and Dan Cooper. Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
