Condolence: I was fortunate to witness a side of Bill that had nothing to do with his brilliance in the world of football. I was struck by the depth of his devotion to Miss Polly and his kindness to an old friend during a trying and difficult time in his life. The letters to Ray during his illness were cherished and so encouraging and will alway be something that I will be grateful for forever. May you find comfort in knowing that Bill made such a difference in the life of an old Paris friend. I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this time of change and adjustment.
