Peggy Sue Kennon, a retired teller for Fifth Third Bank, widow of John G. Kennon, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus, Cynthiana. She was born August 20, 1940 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Thomas Barlow and Mary Ella Berry Clifford and was a graduate of Paris High School. Peggy was an active board member of Accutran Industry where she served as coordinator and chairperson of the annual Pumpkin Festival and the Christmas Bazaar, served on the Bourbon County Fair Board, and was a member of Calvary Christian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jackie (Lee) Ingram; a son, Tommy Kennon, both of Paris; three grandchildren, Miranda Ingram, Jacob Ingram, Isabella Kennon; a sister, Bonnie (Goree "Hook") Spradlin, Augusta, KY; a niece, Lana (Kendal) Bach; and a nephew, David Spradlin. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Haley Christine Ingram; and a nephew, Mark Lloyd Spradlin. The family expresses special appreciation to the staff of Cedar Ridge Health Campus for their excellent care. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Terry Clark with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Tommy Kennon, Lee Ingram, Jacob Ingram, Goree "Hook" Spradlin, David Spradlin, and Johnathan Matthews. The staff and employees of Accutran will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
