Mollie Noel Adkins, 71, retired Kentucky Bank manager and Modern Woodmen representative, wife of Tommy Adkins, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home. She was born September 7, 1943 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Leland and Ruth Wagoner Noel, a graduate of Paris High School, and was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mollie is survived by a son, John (Kelli) Adkins, Georgetown; daughter, Julie (Tom) Roberts, Frankfort; sister, Betty (Wes) Adkins, Eaton, OH; three grandchildren, Jarrod Adkins, Kaitlin Adkins, Lauren Adkins; niece, Teresa (Terry) Long, Paris; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Steven Scherer and Rev. Timothy W. Pierce with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Jarrod Adkins, Tom Roberts, Clyde Parsons, Johnny Bussell, Wayne Stocker, J.B. Eads, and Dan Yates. Honorary bearers will be Teresa and Terry Long, John and Karen Galloway, James Williams, J.C. Chambers, Anna Crump, Emma Ferrell, Lorena B. Johnson, Tommy Bussell, Edith Mallory, Eddie Bishop, Paula Doyle, Barbara Cumber, Nina Parsons, Pat Hyatt, Judy Clem, Carol Eads, and Dr. Robert Biddle. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
