James Hubert Norman, 74, a thoroughbred horseman, husband of Carolyn Joyce McIntosh Norman, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at his home. He was born September 7, 1940 in Beattyville, Kentucky, son of the late William K. and Carly Bowman Norman. In addition to his wife, Hubert is survived by a daughter, Connie Lynn (Danny) Mitchell, Paris; a son, Douglas James (Ann) Norman, Nicholas County; two grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Lopez, Brandy Leah Norman; four great grandchildren, Camryn Mitchell, Parker Lopez, Jose Lopez, Isabella Lopez; and three sisters, Willa Mae Norman, Lucille Jackson, and Lois Wethington. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. William E. Singleton. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
