June Taylor Gilliland, 76, a retired cafeteria manager for Bourbon County Schools, wife of David Gilliland, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born February 27, 1938 in Paris, daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Margaret Ellen Smith Taylor, a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and was a member of Clintonville Christian Church. In addition to her husband, June is survived by her children, Jeff (Denise) Gilliland, Carlisle, Dawn (Jeff) Damron, Paris; four grandchildren, Craig (Lauren) Gilliland, Lexington, Cade Gilliland, Carlisle, Adam Auxier, Ben Auxier, both of Richmond; a sister, Linda (Jerry) McCord, Jeffersontown; and a great granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Gilliland. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Taylor Rife, Deborah Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Larry Rife. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, at Clintonville Christian Church by Rev. Charles H. Kemp and Rev. Steve Smith with burial in Clintonville Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Adam Auxier, Ben Auxier, Craig Gilliland, Cade Gilliland, Chris McCord, and Matt McCord. Honorary bearers will be Dan Rife, Steve Rife, and Robert Caswell. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to ALS Foundation, 2375 Fortune Drive, Lexington, KY 40509.
