Marlene Fay English, 74, wife of John English, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at her home. She was born May 11, 1940 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Henry Clifton and Ethel May Sanders Buckler and was a member of the Christian Faith Center, Cynthiana. Marlene is also survived by two daughters, Linda Fay Johnson, Helen May Jones, both of Bourbon County; three sons, Jimmy Lane (Melissa) Jones, Danny Lee (Deidra) Jones, James Arnold (Teresa) Jones, all of Paris; two sisters, Goldena Evans, Cynthiana, Kathleen Gorz, Paris; seven brothers, Henry (Ellarose) Buckler, Marion (Glenda) Buckler, Stanley (Mary) Buckler, Tony (Kay) Buckler, Lonnie (Kay) Buckler, Ray (Kathy) Buckler, Terry Buckler; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Wayne Jones; a sister, Brenda Sue Garrison; and two brothers, Tommy W. Buckler and Frazier Clay Buckler. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Pastor George Clifton and Pastor Kim Smith with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers will be Mitchell Johnson, Jimmy Wayne Jones, Daniel Bishop, Steven Bishop, Timmy Lane Jones, and James Russell Jones. Honorary bearers will be Robert Purvis, Zack Mickey, Ricky Jones, Lonnie Thomas Buckler, Heath Buckler, and John Fryman. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
