Ethel Jean Earnest, 75, retired G.E. employee, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Saint Joseph Hospital. She was born June 24, 1939 in Harrison County, daughter of the late Elliott and Anna Elizabeth Cook Earnest and was a member of Silas Baptist Church. Ethel is survived by two daughter, Melanie Cheek (Michael) Sears, April Cheek (Tracy) Howard, both of Paris; four grandchildren, Bradley (April) Roe, LeeAnn (Simms) Frank, Dane Sears, Tyler Amendola; four great grandchildren, Sears Frank, Elle Frank, Lilly Roe, Landen Roe; and special friends, Ben Rice. A daughter, Gina Cheek Amendola, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Timothy W. Pierce. Inurnment will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
