Francisco Estes, 31, disabled U.S. National Guard veteran of the Iraq War, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born January 17, 1982 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, son of Lance Bon, Puerto Rico, and Dr. Yolanda Estes (Joel Taylor), Starkville, MS. In addition to his parents, Francisco is survived by a son, Alexander Estes, Owenton; grandmother, Sandra Elaine, Paris; grandparents, Charles and Irene Estes, Bardstown, Jimmie and Marilyn Lockhart, Lexington; and his great grandmother, Opal Wells, Paris. He was preceded in death by a brother, Andre Estes; and great grandfather, Marion Wells. Private funeral services were held at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Burial with military honors were held at Paris Cemetery.
