Louise Hash Ott, widow of John Ott Jr. passed peacefully from this life on Sunday February 24, 2013. She is survived by her daughter Susan Jayne (Richard) Ott-Onizuka of Olympia, Washington, her son John Stephen (Paula) Ott of Millersburg, grandson Jonathan Eli (Katherine) Ott of Millersburg, and brother J.C. (Christine) Hash of Paris. Louise and John married shortly after his return from service following the end of World War II in 1946. They originally made their home in Paris, where they were founding members of Central Baptist Church. In 1958, Louise and John moved to Millersburg where they were members of the Millersburg Baptist Church. Louise served as librarian at Millersburg Elementary School for many years before becoming the Office Manager at Bourbon Hills Farm.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Christina Brannock-Wanter with Owen Sammons as vocalist. Interment will be at Millersburg Cemetery. Those serving as pall bearers are Ricky Hash, Bobby Clark, Jonathan Ott, Scott Hash, Steve Ott, and Dennis Hinkle. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Highway 62E, Cynthiana, KY 41031 or Millersburg Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 265, Millersburg, KY 40348.
