Ralph D. Yazell, 74, Kingsley Court, a farmer, husband of Lily Oder Yazell, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was born July 19, 1933 in Paris, son of the late Wilburn Hiram Yazell and Viola Burke Mers, attended Clintonville School, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Ralph is also survived by two daughters, Pamela (Timothy) Christian, Sherry (Charlie) Utter, both of Georgetown; a sister, Anna Mae Yazell McFarland, Paris; four stepchildren, Cindy Tubbs, Kenneth Roe, Timmy Roe, Ricky Roe, all of Paris; 15 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond G. Yazell, William "Bill" Yazell, Marvin Yazell, and Clarence Yazell. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Russell and Rev. Billy Singleton with interment in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Shane McFarland, Roger McFarland, Glen Yazell, Bronson Yazell, Oval Yazell, Leslie Yazell, Charlie Utter, and Dave Miller. Honorary bearers will be Herke Rupp, James Lee Sanders, Jimmy Long, Tommy Watkins, Darrell Stacy, George King, Timothy Christian, and Kenny Whalen. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
